El Rompido
The Rompido area has a long history. It was first inhabited during the Upper Paleolithic era, and its earliest evidence of human occupation dates back to the Neolithic era (Coelho). In addition, there is evidence that the area was occupied by both Spanish and Portugese conquerors in the 15th century (“History”).
